What's the difference between buying a gift certificate versus a subscription plan?

There are two distinct differences between buying a gift certificate versus a subscription plan. 

First, our gift certificate plans do not automatically renew while our regular subscription plans do automatically renew until you cancel the subscription. The gift certificate plans end automatically after the final box is shipped to complete the term of the gift certificate purchased.

Second, our gift certificate plans come with a printable gift certificate that requires the gift recipient to activate the plan. Each printable gift certificate has a unique code allowing the gift recipient to register the account, select their preferred fish species and activate the plan when they want the boxes to start shipping.
